What is Natty Wine? Well Natural wine is the unfiltered, untamed, un-photoshopped version of what we know to be wine. In most cases, natural wine doesn’t look or taste like a typical wine. In fact, some natural wines taste more like a sour beer or kombucha! While there is no official definition of natty wine, these are our criteria:
Not aged in oak.
Wine is fermented with no added yeast (ie. native yeasts).
No additives are included in fermentation (yeast nutrients, etc).
Little or no sulfites are added.
So basically, this was the wine they drank back in the B.C.! It's really good for you, and it is a fun exploration on all the different ways wine can taste and smell! Join us on Saturday, July 2nd, for a special look into this up and coming movement of wine!
